Maj Gen Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence, confirmed that his department has exceeded its target for civil defence drills in the first half of 2016.

Evacuation Drills are one of the main pillars of the Dubai Civil Defence strategic plans and an annual target is set by his operations department to each fire station.  Targets for types of drills are based on the statistical analysis of real incidents and potential risks, in order to ensure the maximum effort is put in to being prepared for the most likely events and those that carry the greatest risk.
